This post is a mouth-watering read. I've never (yet) been able to visit Gramercy Tavern, but have been making a simple, stellar Gingerbread of theirs ever since I first saw the recipe in Food & Wine; and when I bring it to a dinner, there's never leftovers. & Thanks for the much-needed lift of spirits.
