Amanda Schuster is not only a dear friend and Brooklyn neighbor with excellent taste in music, but she's also one of the top drinks writers out there and the author of several books, including the essential (and entertaining) reference guide, SIGNATURE COCKTAILS.
I first met Gaby at one of her bake sale pop-ups in the neighborhood (she's an incredible baker and her custom cakes are available to order), and have followed her ever since. PERFECT CITY is a perfectly curated experience, and though I may be familiar with many of the places and things she spotlights, I always learn something new thanks to her perspective.
Victoria is one of my favorite Italian-Americans (and frequent aperitivo companion). She's knowledgable and passionate about Italy's regional foodways and wine culture and her wry delivery and humor celebrating pasta, wine, and Italian sweets is truly addictive.
