The New York Cocktail Company
Born in New York City, The New York Cocktail Company takes inspiration from the city’s spirited lineage of classic bars, from basement-level speakeasies and beloved neighborhood taverns to elegant hotel bars and modern craft cocktail bars. They believe in the undeniable and often undefinable magical quality of their storied hometown, and their portfolio of small-batch, ready-to-serve, bottled cocktails created by world-class bartenders are as elegant and timeless as New York City itself.
It’s no secret that many of New York’s best bars pre-mix, batch, and bottle many of their signature cocktails in advance, primarily for the convenience of presenting consistent, quality cocktails in a high-volume environment. While we can always post up for a drink at our favorite bar, having an elegant bottle from The New York Cocktail Company on hand is a way to have a beautiful world-class cocktail served at some of the best bars in town at the comfort of your own home.
But a bottled cocktail starts with the proper balance of the quality ingredients involved, and The New York Cocktail Company has partnered with some renowned producers around the world to source the spirits and liqueurs used to create their signature drinks—from Mancino Vermouth, made in a small family-run distillery in Asti, Piedmont, Italy, to Su Casa Mezcal from Oaxaca, Mexico, to Brooklyn’s own Forthave Spirits, Faccia Brutto Spirits, and Brooklyn Gin.
The initial quartet of signature bottled cocktails available from The New York Cocktail Company’s portfolio celebrate the Negroni, the iconic Italian cocktail that has become one of the world’s most popular drinks. New York-born, Italian American bartender Renato Tonelli, 2023’s American Bartender of the Year, is a true Negroni connoisseur and has perfected the spirited, herbaceous, and bittersweet Negroni in four exquisite variations: Classic, Chocolate, Espresso, and Mezcal.
As The New York Cocktail Company expands its offerings, they will continue to partner with acclaimed New York bartenders for a mix of classic and modern classic new releases, including an Old-Fashioned from award-winning bartender Jeff Bell.
Among the founders of The New York Cocktail Company are Linden Pride and Rodrigo Octávio Leme, who have each spent their careers at world-class, award-winning bars refining the perfect serve. They believe that a great cocktail is more than just mixing a drink, it’s about creating an occasion. I’m honored to be collaborating with the team on their launch, sharing stories about New York City bar culture, cocktail history, and interviews with top bartenders, and The New York Cocktail Company team has made room for me to chronicle these tales from my virtual barstool at “Brad’s Corner.”
Thanks to The New York Cocktail Company you can have an elegant New York bar experience no matter where you are–whether it’s a sunset aperitivo on a park bench, gathered with friends on your building’s stoop, or a refined pre-dinner cocktail at home.
