Eating & Drinking in Lancaster, Pennsylvania

When the team at Brooklyn’s Faccia Brutto Spirits announced they would be part of a pop-up event hosted by LUCA in Lancaster, Pennsylvania—one of my favorite places to visit—the thought of a quick weekend away from Brooklyn and the overdue break from the overwhelming deadlines grind was just hat I needed.

I’ve been to Lancaster many times and LUCA has regularly hosted me for a number of two-day residencies to present talks, tastings, and educational training on amaro and Italian drinking culture. But this time I would be on the sidelines as a civilian to enjoy two nights away while also offering some hometown Brooklyn support to the Faccia Brutto Spirits crew. And even before I booked my hotel and train ticket I was plotting out how many of my favorite eating and drinking spots I could fit in over 48 hours.
