Drinking
Frozen Grasshopper (The Long Island Bar)
With the seasonal retirement of the Frozen Egg Nog, there’s a new drink in residency at Cobble Hill’s The Long Island Bar—a Frozen Grasshopper with a distinctive Shamrock Shake hue. Made with Giffard Crème de Menthe, Tempus Fugit Crème de Cacao, Cognac VS Park Carte Blanche, whole milk, and vanilla soy milk, the Frozen Grasshopper is available in two sizes (small: $10, large: $18) and is served with a red straw, a generous dusting of grated Callebaut bittersweet Belgian chocolate, and an OREO Thin Mint cookie (my photo above features a rogue Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookie brought in by LIB regulars John and Colleen Tebeau who were celebrating the release of Colleen’s new book, Your Mini Sabbatical. Congratulations, Colleen!).
